Darren is a devoted father of two and a loving husband, known for his friendly, honest and down-to-earth nature. His passion for landscaping is reflected in every project the team completes. As Darren personally carries out all site surveys and quotations, you can be confident you're dealing directly with someone who genuinely cares about delivering the best possible outcome for every client.
Having grown up in Africa, Darren always knew he wanted a career working outdoors. After leaving school, he trained in Arboriculture and spent many years working with trees before moving into the landscaping industry. Following his move to the Cotswolds with his wife, Kelly, Darren Watt Landscaping was born.
With over a decade of experience creating beautiful outdoor spaces, Darren takes great pride in transforming gardens and building lasting relationships with clients. His attention to detail and commitment to quality are at the heart of everything the business does.
Outside of work, Darren enjoys golf, cricket and fishing whenever time allows, although much of his spare time is now spent with his family and continuing to grow the business.
Reflecting on the journey so far, Darren says:
"Running a family business means everything to me. We have a fantastic team that shares the same values and takes real pride in producing quality workmanship. Seeing our clients enjoy their finished gardens is what makes all the hard work worthwhile."
Kelly was born in Zimbabwe and moved to Chipping Norton as a teenager. At 18, she relocated to London, where she met Darren. After spending a year travelling and living in London for six years, they realised the city's fast pace was no longer for them. They returned to the Cotswolds, where Kelly had grown up, to build a life and raise their family.
For the first six years of Darren Watt Landscaping, Kelly balanced raising a young family with a full-time office job while supporting the business behind the scenes. As the company grew, she made the decision to join the business full-time.
Today, Kelly is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office, managing enquiries, quotations, scheduling, customer communications, accounts, the company website, social media and marketing. She plays a key role in ensuring every project runs smoothly, from the initial enquiry through to completion.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys reading, writing, travelling and scuba diving, although these days most of her spare time is spent with her family and helping to grow the business.
Reflecting on her journey, Kelly says:
"Joining the business full-time was one of the best decisions I've made. I love being part of a family-run company where every day is different. Watching the business grow, building lasting relationships with our clients and seeing the transformations we create makes all the hard work worthwhile."
Jacob is a valued member of the Darren Watt Landscaping team and has worked in landscaping since the start of his career. It's an industry he genuinely enjoys, and he takes pride in creating outdoor spaces that clients can enjoy for years to come.
Whether he's helping to build a new patio, install a driveway or transform an entire garden, Jacob is hardworking, reliable and committed to delivering a high standard of workmanship on every project.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys training in MMA, exploring the countryside and historic places, travelling and listening to music. His positive attitude and passion for landscaping make him a great addition to the team.
Chris joined our team after spending a few years in the retail industry, eager to return to a career where he could work outdoors. Having worked with Ash years ago, it felt like the perfect fit to bring him into our family business.
On-site, Chris is known for his big personality and constant laughter. While he’s still adjusting to the physical demands of landscaping, he’s quickly become an invaluable member of the team.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and making the most of the outdoors. His positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic make him a great addition to the Darren Watt Landscaping team, and he’s always keen to get stuck into the next project.
